Free Classified Ads: The Basics of Placing a Free Classified
Classified ads have been around for a very long time. Even the cave men had them. Back in those days the ad may have looked like a stick figure with a bow and arrow and may meant “selling good bow with one arrow, cheap.” Now we have internet and free classified ads. Free classified ads are much more sophisticated than print version ads. They include pictures and have a decent amount of text to describe your product.
Placing a free classified ad is easy. There are just a few things to think about and a few things to do before making your ad visible to the entire civilized world. These are common sense starting points before writing your free classified ad.
• Who are you targeting with your ad? This is important. Is your target audience a man or woman, boy or girl, old or young?
• What you are selling. If you are selling multiple items be specific. Posting an ad for an estate sale is not going to do you any good if you don’t let your public know what you are selling. The what if the sale also goes back to the “who.” If you’re selling girls bikes you’ve got the who as well as the what.
• When are your items available? When is the best time for a customer to come and look at them and maybe buy them? Post the time in the ad. If you’re putting a telephone number in your free classified ad put the best time to call. It’s a good idea to ad a pm or am after the time.
• Where can your customer come and see your items. It’s not necessary to put an address in the ad. It’s probably not advisable to put an address in. But it’s easy to say something like “near the Wal-Mart on 5th St, in Any Town, call for instructions.”
• How much money are you expecting for your items? If you feel that you’re not going to budge on the price just ad the words “priced to sell” or “firmly priced” to let your customers know that there will be no negotiating.
When placing a free classified ad it is helpful if you type the ad in a word processor before submitting to the free classified ad site. Most free classified ads do not have spell check and a lot of credibility will be lost if you misspell a word. Just about all word-processing programs include spellcheck.
Don’t use text lingo in an ad. What works well on a phone as an instant message doesn’t look so hot when posted for weeks or months. If you post a professional looking and sounding free classified ad you’ll get professional results.
Always be truthful in your ad. There is nothing more frustrating for a buyer than driving a half an hour to look at an item that looks nothing like the description in the ad. By leaving important details out of your free classified ad you are wasting both your customer’s time and your time.

We live in a very complex and ever changing society. We have many expectations that are placed on us everyday.
Some of the pressure we feel we place on ourselves through goals and dreams and others are placed on us by employers and those we live with. Most people can handle the stress on any given day, but others cease to function if they feel too overwhelmed. Many people benefit from mental health services. Unfortunately there is still a stigma attached to receiving help for emotional support. Needing to discuss and understand our feelings is related to weakness, instead of self-growth. There is nothing weak about obtaining mental health services. Mental health professionals, who come with varying degrees, are available to anyone.
Some people are inflicted with severe and persistent mental illness which requires on-going medication monitoring as well as frequent counseling sessions. Other people may find that a life situation or incident leaves them incapable of moving forward. They may find relieve through short term counseling as well as medication to deal with short term anxiety or sleep issues.
Many people have the impression that once you begin receiving mental health services you need to be involved with them for the rest of your life. This is not true. I compare mental health services to legal services. Some large corporations or complicated industries need to have legal advice all the time. They may even employ an attorney.
Other companies or individuals may find they need legal advice to deal with a one time criminal charge, and others may need an attorney to develop the will for their estate. Just as these are varying degrees of legal aid, so are there varying degrees of mental health services. Just as we do not expect people to know and handle their own legal issues, we should not expect people to handle their own emotional issues as they arise.
Most mental health services are covered through standard insurance plans. Terms may confuse people regarding who they should see. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor that has a specialty in psychology. They can test and diagnosis people and prescribe medications for their patients. A psychologist has an advanced degree and can test and interpret testing to give people a diagnosis, however they cannot prescribe medications. A therapist and counselors can provide one on one and group talk therapy, however they cannot administer testing or prescribe medications. When looking for mental health services make sure to check the credentials of the person that you are working with to insure that they can provide the services that you need.
Little House on the Prairie is a classic book written by a woman named Laura Ingalls Wilder. This stunning tale
shares the story of Laura’s family as they moved from Wisconsin to the open prairie. Little House on the Prairie is beautifully illustrated and it is filled with a collection of inspiring stories about their journey as well as their destination.
The book is celebrating its 80th anniversary and is particularly appealing to older children because it is filled with wonderful life lessons as well as adventures. Little House on the Prairie is a fantastic teaching tool because the reader learns historical facts as he reads the text. There are also many lessons about priorities, relationships and work ethic.
Many of us are familiar with the book by Laura Ingalls Wilder through the very popular show inspired by Little House on the Prairie. In fact, many of us wound up reading the book after seeing so many great episodes featured in this well-known television series. After watching the show, we were inspired to read the book.
The characters are well written and they are well presented in the series, too. I love stories that have such a deep human element while still maintaining a sense of humor as well. The Little House on the Prairie stories will make you smile but you may have to wipe a tear here and there, too when you experience them.
Now that the program is no longer in production, I figured that I’d better invest in some products for my daughter. There are too many important lessons presented in the Little House on the Prairie series and book that I couldn’t help but look for items that relate to this subject.

I bought a copy for my sister, too, who is completely in love with the characters. She even named her first daughter Laura.
I also found a collection of the Little House on the Prairie television series. Of course, I ordered the collection right away. I love that my daughter will have a chance to enjoy the story by Laura Ingalls Wilder just as I did when I was her age. This is one of the most valuable gifts I’ve ever bought for her.
